When to seek urgent help
Seek emergency care for severe or sudden symptoms
Sudden sight loss, a new curtain or shadow, severe pain, a penetrating or high-speed injury, or a chemical in the eye: go immediately to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait for clinic opening hours.
Chemical in the eye
Start rinsing immediately with plenty of clean, non-hot water and a gentle flow for at least 20 minutes while arranging emergency help. Do not delay rinsing to finish this page.
Injury or embedded object
Do not press or rub the eye, or try to remove an embedded object. Seek emergency care. Do not drive with affected vision.
Urgent assessment today
New flashes or floaters, new distorted vision, a painful red eye in a contact-lens wearer, or worsening symptoms after an eye procedure need urgent assessment. If you cannot reach an eye service today, go to an emergency department. Sight loss or severe pain means go now.
Outside clinic hours
Routine appointments run Friday and Saturday, 16:00–19:00, Palestine local time. Website bookings and WhatsApp are not emergency services, and an immediate reply is not guaranteed. Use the nearest emergency department when urgent care is needed.
Optional symptom guidance
Choose the closest description. If you are unsure, or symptoms are severe or getting worse, seek urgent in-person care.
These educational checks do not diagnose disease, measure clinical visual acuity or replace an eye examination. Normal answers cannot rule out eye disease.
